Help needed

I have finished quilting the table runner, I chickened out and just quilted in the ditch.  I am going to have to get up the courage one day to try stippling again.  Anyway, I am having a dilemma, unusual I know, as I never ever procrastinate. I can't decide what colour to use for the binding. I would normally have said red would be great, but I don't want to emphasize the red.

Here's a pic of the front and the back.

A question.
What colour would you use, or would this look any good as binding?

I have this in my stash as I was going to use it for the backing but I like it too much to use on the back. Is this too busy to use as a binding?
Help, please.

This handle has been the best thing since sliced bread.

It not only keeps my hand out of harms way when cutting, it spreads the pressure further across the ruler.   I don't need to move my hand as I cut with the rotary cutter, and therefore I am finding my cutting is more accurate, and believe me, it needed to be more accurate. (snowball blocks)

You can find out all about the handle here.

  1. I was going to suggest navy blue for the binding, but I think that floral will be even better. It will add even more interest with the pattern variations along the binding.

  2. I don't think I've ever used a heavily patterned fabric for binding. Now I don't know why I haven't tried it before so go for it. Otherwise I was thinking a dark burgundy if you have one.

  4. Live dangerously. Use the floral for the binding. Repeat after me ..it's only fabric.

  5. I would hate to cute the floral fabric too, but I think it would make a great border. Perhaps there will be enough left for another project.

  6. I'd probably use navy as a binding, but then I'm not always too adventurous. That said, I've seen people use lots of wild things for binding and do like them. :-)
