Tuesday tidbits (and tails)

We went down to Brisbane this weekend for the Riverfire Festival. We stayed along the river and watched the fireworks and the F111 jet do a dump and burn fly pass. We had a great time, the weather was warm and quite humid too.  I took a couple of photos on my phone as I forgot my camera.

The last photo is the F111 jet passing overhead.

If you like, you can see here the official You Tube clip and here if you want to see what it actually looked like live.  At about 2.43 in to the second clip you can see the F111 fly across the river.

Yesterday I finished the loops on the Laundry banner, I crocheted them using perle thread.

I also finished the 20th wonky log cabin block, and fixed a couple that were too wonky and not big enough. I have them up on my design wall.  No photos to show yet until I work out what my next plan of attack is on them.

Some pics of the babies this week.

Lulu guarding my mess.

Bailey eying off a lorikeet in the trees off the verandah.

The boy with his "flea".

  1. Looks like you had a good spot for Riverfire. I would have loved to see it but we were in a holding pattern waiting to land on the way back from Sydney.

  2. Looks like a great time Marg! The final crocheted touch on the banner is perfect.

And as always I enjoy the pics of your critters.

  3. The photos of the fireworks are really great! I have never been able to take a good photo like that. Love the banner, can't wait to see the whole thing.

The fur babies are cute as always. Howdid you come up with the name "flea" for your puppies baby?

  4. Your Laundry Banner is beautiful that crochet just finishes it of perfectly :)

Love the furbabies, Karma's flea is a classic, I was going to try and crochet one of those!! Has Baily got siamese in him....with those blue eyes?

F111.....LOVE, almost as much as the Concorde!!

  5. I knew you'd work your beautiful crochet in there somewhere. The Laundry banner is sublime.

Looking forward to seeing the wonky blocks in all their glory.

    Waving at the furbabies too...
