Another quilt top finish.
This is the Raw Edge Circle Quilt from a tutorial by Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew.
I love this quilt top, the combination of colours is so spring/summery, I just had to name it Strawberries and Champagne. It's been really difficult to get a good photo. The colours in the two close up pics above are pretty much true to life. The one below looks quite washed out. I've taken photos inside, outside, in cloudy weather, sunshine, horizontally, vertically and most of them do not do justice to the colours.
I really want to try FMQ on this quilt but as my Pfaff is very sick I only have my little Janome Jem until it comes back from the intensive care and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to quilt something this size with the Jem.
It looks gorgeous Marg! i really love those colors and the name is perfect! I reckon you could quilt it on the Janome, how big is the quilt?
ReplyDeleteI love it- it is springy and summery and you picked the perfect name.
ReplyDeleteArent the circles quilts fun to make ?
I reckon you could quilt this no worries!
I really love this one have been waiting to see how it went. Very Impressed!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it and I am always amazed by the speed with which you quilters manage to complete your quilts - in the unlikely event of my ever making one it would be a lifetime's work I know!!
ReplyDeleteVery apt name for it with those circles for the champagne glasses and the pretty summery colours.

Love, love love that quilt. Fabulous...great colors, and just so summery....oh I can just see myself on your wonderful porch, in the hammock with that quilt...o.k I'll keep that dream up for the rest of the week. That will keep me going :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Scrum- diddily-umptious!
ReplyDeleteOh Marg that quilt is perfect! I love the circles and the material you chose. Strawberries and champagne, just lovely, I think I have a new favourite of yours :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful quilt and the name is perfect. The bonus about having a name like that is that when you finish quilting it you'll have to celebrate by having champers and strawberries.
ReplyDeletegorgeous - I can't tell if I like the close-up or the whole picture more! Really pretty fabrics - great work, Marg!
