Strawberries and Champagne

Another quilt top finish.
This is the Raw Edge Circle Quilt from a tutorial by Allison at Cluck Cluck Sew.

I love this quilt top, the combination of colours is so spring/summery, I just had to name it Strawberries and Champagne.  It's been really difficult to get a good photo.  The colours in the two close up pics above are pretty much true to life.  The one below looks quite washed out. I've taken photos inside, outside, in cloudy weather, sunshine, horizontally, vertically and most of them do not do justice to the colours.

I really want to try FMQ on this quilt but as my Pfaff is very sick I only have my little Janome Jem until it comes back from the intensive care and I'm not sure whether I'll be able to quilt something this size with the Jem.

  4. Love it and I am always amazed by the speed with which you quilters manage to complete your quilts - in the unlikely event of my ever making one it would be a lifetime's work I know!!

Very apt name for it with those circles for the champagne glasses and the pretty summery colours.

  8. This is such a beautiful quilt and the name is perfect. The bonus about having a name like that is that when you finish quilting it you'll have to celebrate by having champers and strawberries.
